WHAT DO WE DO

OPENING INTRODUCTION

WHAT DO WE DO?

Vietnam Public Forum Academy (“VPFA”) is a debate academy operating as a social enterprise that is dedicated to fostering critical thinking, researching skills, and a heightened awareness of global current events among youths in Vietnam and worldwide. Thus, VPFA serves as a platform where individuals can hone their public speaking, debate, and analytical skills while delving into pressing societal issues.

VPFA is a sister organization of Inspire Youth Debate (“IYD”) with both sharing the mission of promoting debate in general but more specifically Public Forum debate. The academy offers a variety of online courses that seek to enhance students’ debate and public speaking skills along with free workshops and seminars led by experienced debaters. However, unlike IYD, which also operates as a non-profit organization to help spread Public Forum debate but through free training organized by campaigns, VPFA focuses on providing numerous online Public Forum debate courses that follows a self-study model, similar to the online classes at the Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth, with an instructor who can answer the students’ questions and concerns related to the course via appointments. In addition, VPFA also provides online courses via Zoom with instructors according to the requests of students.

All profit generated from our classes will go towards helping underprivileged children, especially those in remote areas, in Vietnam as well as in other countries receive education.
