Following the initial successes of the Vietnam National Public Forum Debate Team—including Vietnamese participants achieving 1st and 2nd Speaker Awards at the Harvard Debate UKTOC International—we are pleased to announce expanded opportunities for additional Vietnamese youths to apply under the terms set forth below.
1) Number of Members to Recruit
– 4 members
2) Requirements
– English
– Speaking: 8.5+ IELTS (or an equivalent credential, if accompanied by alternative proof)
– Writing: 8.0+ IELTS (or an equivalent credential, or if at least one article has been approved for publication by the Global Editorial Board of Inspire Youth Journal)
– Debate: prior debate experience is advantageous
– Global Issues: knowledge of global issues is advantageous, given that Public Forum debate topics center on global issues
– Age: current students in grades 8–10/12
3) Application Deadline
– 17:00, 16 December 2025

5) Purpose
– To enable eligible youths to participate in forthcoming prestigious international debate competitions, supported by a coaching team whose members have achieved top finishes (1st–3rd) in Harvard-format debates.

The individuals highlighted are the first Vietnamese students to receive the Top Speaker Awards at a Harvard debate tournament. It is hoped that these videos will inspire a passion for debate among youths nationwide and encourage more Vietnamese students to pursue excellence in prestigious international debate competitions.
