We are pleased to announce that ISDI, a joint effort of the Harvard Debate Council (HDC) and the University of Kentucky Tournament of Champions (TOC), has agreed to waive participation fees for 1–2 Afghan girls and young women teams in their prestigious debate tournaments. (see the information in the image below).
We will select 1–2 teams from the registered participants to participate and will train these teams to prepare for ISDI’s upcoming tournament.
Our goal is to empower Afghan female students to participate and raise their voices on the global stage by providing opportunities to compete in prestigious international debate tournaments. This visibility can help attract worldwide support for Afghan women’s education, with a practical emphasis on expanding online learning in the near term.
