Duration: 8 weeks (classroom sessions, 1:1 team meetings (2 students/ team) and time for coaches to review & comment on students’ constructive speeches)
– Research
o Instruct students how to research the resolution (debate topic)
– Constructive speech preparation
o Instruct students how to write a constructive speech to prepare for a tournament
o Review and guide students to edit their constructive speech (3 times/ team’s constructive speech)
– Rebuttal preparation
o Instruct students how to prepare for the rebuttal section of a debate round
– Mini tournament
o Organize a mini-tournament for students

Course’s prerequisites: completion of one of VPFA’s Public Forum Foundation courses or Inspire Youth Debate’s (IYD) 2023 Youth Voice Camp
Public Forum Debate Coaches: coaches from different countries who have experience competing in and have received numerous awards at the Harvard Public Forum international tournaments and other prestigious Public Forum debate tournaments
Opening: after at least 6 students/ class register to participate
Schedule: expected 1 session per week on Saturday or Sunday
Tuition: 3,000,000 VND/ course/ student

– Financial Aid (FA): VPFA offers partial to full financial support of up to 100% of the above tuition fee for students in difficult circumstances (similar to the FA admission process at American universities). Please contact us for more details.
