Selection of Afghan Female Students for ISDI Online Debate (Jan 24–25, 2026)

Dear All,

Thank you to the 106 applicants who expressed interest in joining the Afghan female student team for ISDI’s upcoming debate competitions (Harvard – UK Debate / TOC).

Our goal is to empower Afghan female students to participate and raise their voices on the global stage by providing opportunities to compete in prestigious international debate tournaments. This visibility can help attract worldwide support for Afghan women’s education, with a practical emphasis on expanding online learning in the near term.

We have selected 12 candidates who demonstrate English proficiency at the C1 level and meet the age requirements to participate in the High School Division of ISDI’s online debate competition, scheduled for January 24–25, 2026. Please see the attached list.

To prepare for the ISDI debate tournament, we plan to hold weekly training sessions on weekends. After the training, we will select 1–2 teams (2 participants per team) from the 12 candidates to represent Afghan female students in the competition.

We congratulate the 12 selected candidates this time. We will send a WhatsApp group invitation to them shortly to join the training.

Thank you again to all applicants. We will continue to consider suitable candidates from the 106 applicants for other ISDI competitions in 2026.

Sincerely,
